FALLING IN LOVE: A LUXURY WE CAN’T AFFORD BEFORE MARRIAGE???

If only we knew the tons of genuine admirers that pass us by daily because it would be a taboo for them to speak of their feelings without the intent of following up with a lifelong commitment. What about those who make our hearts skip but we can’t bring ourselves to mention it to them because professing love is now understood to mean a subtle and indirect marriage proposal.

There’s no more room for the Romeo and Juliet experience. The days of picking up a biro from the basket of love to pen down heartwarming words for a significant other are long gone. Even the SONGS OF SOLOMON in the Holy Book are not deemed delightful compositions anymore. If a man does not purport from the onset to leave father and mother and cleave eventually, he’s nothing but bad news.

Falling in love has become a luxury reserved only for the married. But the commitment & responsibilities that come with marriage sometimes overwhelm couples & leave no room for thoughts of actualizing certain youthful fantasies. For instance, you can’t be raising children & thinking of embarking on back-to-back romantic tours or undertaking some exciting adventures of love with reckless abandon.

Such sweet things become “once in a while” indulgences. Couples’ minds become so preoccupied with family matters that they scarcely smile at each other at every turn or whisper sweet nothings into each  other’s ears. Even when they get to do them, they’re done mostly out of necessity, not out of sensuality. Marriage is cool. I can’t wait to get married. But I’d love to fall in love prior to walking down the aisle, possibly with the one I fall in love with.

I know that some of us do not have the luxury of investing time in a romantic affair that is not marriage-bound because “we’re not getting any younger.” We want to go into marriage straight up! But take it from me, you can’t afford to walk this earth without falling in love and getting all caught up in its priceless sensations. I’m talking about falling in love with someone you owe nothing more than to love them in every possible way without being burdened with marital expectations & mandatory responsibilities.

It is understandable if age isn’t on your side and you need to get married in the next couple of months. But when you get married, you might wanna agree with your spouse to postpone childbearing for a year or two in order to take time and enjoy romantic love without distractions. You just can’t afford to miss out on that feeling. But if you have a lot of time in your hands like me and are yet to fall in love, you might wanna catch the next ride to LOVE GARDEN and have your love story written down in history.

You never know how many people may be interested in reading it. Four years back, I had my LOVE FANTASIES documented in a 43-EPISODE ROMANCE NOVEL titled OGECHI & I. It instantly became an AWARD WINNING BLOCKBUSTER. You can google it. Now I can’t imagine what’s gonna happen after I have my REAL LOVE STORY documented in a book. I’m pretty sure it’s gonna make it to the bestsellers. Don’t get twisted, love is a beautiful thing. You should fall in love today.
