3 EFFECTS OF VILLAGE TRADITIONS ON YOUTHS THAT MAKES THEM GO BACKWARD INSTEAD OF FORWARD (+REMEDY)

When people hold fast to village traditions (the traditions of men), they lay aside vital rules that are capable of creating positive effects in their lives. The tradition of men is detrimental to any form of development in a man’s life. You can’t hold the tradition of men and the tradition of God.

Even though today’s youths have been exposed to the light of God’s word and exempted themselves from the effects of those traditions, some youths’ village union have refused to let them go without a fight, hence subjecting innocent youths to the following;

MARITAL DELAY

It’s very common to see astonishingly beautiful and handsomely handsome guys living up to 30 years and above without as much as an engagement. Do you think they don’t want to marry? Of course, they do; just that their village traditions won’t let them.


ACADEMIC DELAY

I’m sure you’ve heard of highly intelligent people who wrote JAMB, WAEC, NECO, etc., for so many times before finally getting it (some of them are still writing even after 10 trials). How can someone prepare a hundred percent for an exam only to write and fail that exam woefully?

FINANCIAL DRYNESS

Nowadays, the Nigerian society is very short of youths who are financially free. It has become a norm to find youths who are 30 years and above still living with their parents and being fed by them. They work like Elephants but have nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, other people are putting very little effort and succeeding.

CONCLUSION

To annul the effects of village traditions on your life, all you have to do is to hold on to the tradition of God. By so doing, the tradition of men will bow. The tradition of God simply requires you to do the following;

1. Believe in Jesus Christ as the only way.
2. Work and live by faith (You can’t make any enviable progress without faith).
