ANALYZING SOME DECEITFUL PLOTS THAT SECURE COURTSHIP AND MARRIAGE FOR CUNNING PEOPLE

A lot of drama usually precedes Courtship. Cunning people, in a bid to reap equal benefits with those who work hard for the price, put up some very hilarious behaviors that would make a blockbuster comedy series if acted out. While you may find this write-up amusing, I seriously urge you to read between the lines, as this article won’t just tickle your fancy, but will open your eyes to the DECEIT that looms in the background during pre-courtship moments.

First off, not all that glitters is gold. Never forget the popular saying that “the more you look, the less you see.” For Christians, a perfect example of courtship would be the pre-marriage union between Jesus’ own parents – Joseph and the Virgin Mary. It’s a known fact that these two were chaste people who had genuinely decided to tie the nuts.

None of them coerced the other into taking him/her as a partner, nor manipulated the other into courtship using “third party” factors or psychological trickeries. Well, the pages seem to have flipped in this century. It seems like so much is required of youths nowadays before they can be deemed qualified for the Joseph and Mary kind of courtship, and many find it outrageously burdensome!!!

Not many youths are ready to emulate Joseph or Mary anymore. But that doesn’t in any way tamper with the fact that a man must court a woman when it’s time, and the desired courtship is expected to be nothing less than that of Joseph and Mary; or even better (at least to spectators). So, how does one go about having the Mary and Joseph kind of courtship without possessing the traits that made God consider the couple worthy earthly parents for His dear son???

The guys are looking out for a Mary to court. The earnest desire of the girls is to offer their middle finger to a Joseph. For a guy to gain Mary’s approval, he should be a potential Joseph. But if he’s nothing like Joseph, should he just let go of his search for Mary and settle for Delilah instead??? Of course not!!! It sure takes hard work to gain Mary’s acceptance. Howbeit, always know that what cannot be gained by hard work can be gained by DECEIT!!!


So a guy grabs a few pieces of wood, sets up a carpentry workshop, and temporarily disassociates himself from all his Delilahs and Jezebels just to create an impression. Mary sees and is like; “awwnn…” Before long, she offers her middle finger and wedding bells ring. His plot works!!! But Marys who have a close relationship with God’s Spirit and genuine dealings with genuine spiritual parents hardly fall for such antics. In such cases, the guy lets go and walks away in shame.

Coming to the girls, a scheming girl spots a Joseph and is like; “I must ensnare him, whatever it takes.” She jumps on the internet and reads a couple of “HOWTOs.” She then applies them on a supposed but gullible Joseph and he falls for it. She praises her SCAM prowess. But the real drama begins when a Joseph fails to fall for her antics easily. As you know, women can be so emotional and can get desperate at the slightest appearance of failure; especially in cases like this.

At this point, any other girl who comes around that particular Joseph becomes a major contender. Baseless jealousy springs up, evil plots follow, and deliberate untruthful rumors of Joseph’s unavailability is projected into gullible minds by the scheming girl. It’s part of the game. Remember, Joseph must be ensnared at all cost; even if it means rubbing dust on his reputation. If he ultimately proves stubborn and refuses to be ensnared, a scandal follows, possibly.

Oblivious of the plot in the atmosphere, Joseph continues his search for Mary but keeps getting negative feedbacks from them since they all think he’s been taken by the scheming girl. In addition, the Marys he approaches see him as a flirty guy and a potential cheating husband. This is exactly the plot of the scheming girl. At the end, Joseph is rejected by all other girls except the scheming girl, and he has only one option; COURT AND MARRY HER!!! Nice plot, isn’t it???

However, these plots get uncovered by most victims in the process, especially if the big day is delayed for so long. There’s this girl who managed to trick a young rich guy into courting her. For genuine reasons, the wedding was delayed. The guy ran his business dealings out of town and hardly spent time with his “soon-to-be” wife.

Whenever he’s about coming into town, he’d call his “wife-to-be” and she’ll hurriedly visit a restaurant to buy the kind food he wanted to eat on arrival. She didn’t know how to cook, but the guy was unaware of that. She buys the food from a restaurant, turns them into a pot, and awaits her “husband-to-be’s” arrival.

When he gets home, she microwaves the meal the serves him. He would praise her cooking skills and she’d give him that deceitful smile. One day, fortune frowned on her and she failed to dispose of the takeaway packs of the food she served him this time around. The guy saw it in the waste bin, investigated it and found that it was the exact meal he just ate.

He called and questioned her about it and she lied blatantly (as usual). The guy then demanded that she cooked him a meal while he watched. That was the undoing of her two-year-old scheme. She succeeded in getting him to court her, but the courtship was broken. She ended up frustrated, ranting about how the guy was unfair to her. What???

So, such deceits could go wrong at times. A guy proposed to a girl in public in a bid to force a “YES” out of her. He succeeded. But the girl broke the engagement one year down the line. In this life, CORNY MAN DIE, CORNY MAN BURY AM.” This is just my analysis. You can add yours in the comment box.
